I had fun there. It was my first time getting to see my niece. It was a good time all around. The drive back, now that was a different story. For the first six hours of driving out avg. speed was 30 mph! Yup....30 mph, if that. There were a few times we just turned the car off. It was just cars and trucks as far as the eye can see. It sucked. It took me just over 6-7 hours to get down there in the first place. By the time I got home it was almost 12 hours later.
We left Vegas about 10am. Two hours later we still didn't go 60 miles, and that just about the fastest we went for awhile. It sucked. We were going to stop and get some lunch in Baker, but we had the dog (little black one) with us. So that didn't work out too well. We ended up stopping for DINNER at taco bell. We were still about 200 miles from home by this time. So about 10 and a half hours after leaving Vegas we get to my Grandma's house. Unpack her car and move some of the stuff in to my Dad's truck, sit down for a few min then take off. It is still another hour drive to our casa from my Grandmama's house.
So I get home....and well I know what you're waiting for...
